Bequest clauses

A bequest to the Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology Public Fund may be made in any of the following forms

‘I give to the Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology Public Fund the sum of $...... free of all duties to be applied as part of the assets of the Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology Public Fund for ecological research and protection in such manner as the Committee of Management may determine and I DIRECT that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of the Fund shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my Trustee/s who shall not be bound to see to the application of this gift.'

OR

‘I give to the Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology Public Fund my property at …….. (or my shares/ debentures, or as the case may be) free of all duties to be applied as part of the assets of the Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology Public Fund for ecological research and protection in such manner as the Committee of Management may determine and I DIRECT that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of the Fund shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my Trustee/s who shall not be bound to see to the application of this gift.'

OR

‘I give, devise and bequeath to the Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology Public Fund the whole (or the residue) of my estate of whatsoever nature or kind and wheresoever situated to be applied as part of the assets of the Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology Public Fund for ecological research and protection in such manner as the Committee of Management may determine and I DIRECT that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of the Fund shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my Trustee/s who shall not be bound to see to the application of this gift.'
